Energy efficiency software testing refers to the process of evaluating the energy consumption and performance of software applications or systems with the aim of identifying and optimizing energy usage.  It involves analyzing the software’s energy-related characteristics, such as power consumption, battery usage, and resource utilization, to ensure that the software operates efficiently while minimizing energy waste.

The energy consumption of software has become an increasingly concerning issue nowadays. As our dependency on technology and software grows, so does the environmental impact associated with their use.

The commitment of our conference to the environment led us to incorporate this topic into our conference a couple of years ago by dedicating a whole track to testing the Energy consumption of software.
