Validation and testing strategy of AI systems
Artificial intelligence has introduced a new approach to system validation. Unlike traditional algorithms, AI generates new content, streamlines processes, and simulates results. Verification and validation are crucial to ensure that AI systems provide accurate and reliable results. For this reason, additional testing is required, taking into account certain parameters such as input and output data, precision, resolution, and accuracy. In this talk we will explore testing strategies for AI-integrated software systems, focusing on pre-deployment testing techniques such as unit, integration and performance testing. These parameters need to be reliably tested, and for this purpose, a series of techniques and tools have been developed to perform this testing in a secure and reliable manner. Our discussion will include the input data and how can impact the results and the system´s performance. We will also cover critical performance metrics to ensure the software’s robustness, reliability, and effectiveness.

She studied Biomedical Engineering at the University of Malaga and completed a Master's degree in Automation and Robotics. She worked for three years as a service biomedical engineer, providing support for medical devices in neuroscience, oncology, and urology. Her main tasks included performing maintenance, supporting clients with issues, making calibrations, and validations for medical device.

Leontia is a software quality engineer at SQS, holding a degree in Biomedical Engineering and an MSc in Nuclear Physics. Her interest in advanced technologies and healthcare led her to work as a Research Assistant in Condensed Matter Physics at the Polytechnic University of Madrid, where she contributed to innovations in magnetic storage through micro and nanoribbon fabrication. Now, she has transitioned into the testing and validation of medical devices, focusing on the effectiveness of healthcare technologies. Leontia is driven by a strong commitment to quality and continuous learning, always eager to expand her expertise in the evolving field of healthcare technology.
