This talk is about my journey as a Scrum Master towards embedding sustainability in Agile teams: helping teams reduce the carbon footprint of their IT landscape, AND helping them to embed climate awareness into their way of working. I will share my learnings and inspire the audience to get started with this in their own practice. I will show them how to embed climate awareness into their own teams and organizations. In this talk I will share my experiences: failures, challenges, successes, and examples of practical steps that teams have already taken to reduce their carbon footprint (by up to 45%).

My name is Marjolein Pilon and I am a Sustainable IT Advocate & Scrum Master from the Netherlands. I am passionate about Planet Earth (our most important stakeholder!) and I am raising climate awareness in the IT and Agile communities by giving trainings, workshops and talks about reducing the carbon footprint of IT and embedding climate awareness into their way of working.
