Theoretical knowledge is learned by studying books, attending courses and reading blogs. Practical knowledge is learned through personal experience. But accumulating knowledge via personal experience takes time, and too often involves learning from failures. A more efficient option is to hear what others learned from their experience and try it out yourself. In this keynote lecture, Michael Stahl, who recently left Intel as a principal engineer in software testing, shares top learnings he accumulated during his 35 years at the company.
What will attendees learn?
Practical advice related to a variety of categories: Team management, tool development, test automation and engineering skills.

Michael Stahl recently retired from Intel as a Software Validation Principal Engineer, where he led a successful career for 35 years. In that role, he defined testing strategies and work methodologies for test teams, led software quality initiatives and sometimes got to test things himself – which he enjoyed most. Today Michael continues his career as an independent consultant and is active in ISTQB and ISO. Michael presented papers in local and international conferences and is teaching SW Testing in the Hebrew University in Jerusalem. You can view his papers and presentations at www.testprincipia.com.
